    We are looking for a Manager to lead our Network Engineering

    and Data Center Operations based out of our Corporate

    Headquarters in Dallas, TX. This role will lead a team of network

    engineers in building and supporting the global Omnitracs

    network infrastructure with leadership in security and topology

    design. This position will play a critical role on the Omnitracs IT

    operations leadership team ‐ developing process, creating

    standardization and driving the team towards continuous

    improvement across the Data Center facilities architecture.

    The role will ensure proper maintenance of data center

    electrical, mechanical, structural, life‐safety and critical backup systems is maintained and system up time is maximized. This role requires an advanced technical knowledge of critical facilities and IT infrastructure; including server hardware, network and telecommunications connectivity. The specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to program management, procedure development and tracking of

    operational indices. Works in partnership with all functional

    areas and stakeholders to ensure successful execution and ongoing functionality of a program specifically focused on Data

    Center Operations.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    Management of securing data communication within sites

    and to the outside world.

    Management of Network Voice and Data across wide area

    network.

    Manage the WAN, LAN & Wireless including topology,

    architecture, and protocols.

    Leads and directs the daily operations of network

    operations staff and records incidents and changes.

    Manage all network security including cryptographic

    tools, methods, systems. This includes firewalls,

    authorization and authentication, and Remote Access.

    Manage the Internet/Intranet/Extranet infrastructure:

    LAN/WAN infrastructure design and build out.

    Manage the security of intellectual property and

    confidential data being exchanged between Vendors,

    Customers and Partners of Omnitracs.

    Manage all network analysis tools including network

    sniffers, LAN analyzers, etc. Responsible for the daily

    performance and availability of the Sloan network.

    Technical documentation of Network enterprise systems –

    applications.

    Development of policies and procedures related to

    maintenance and operation of the data center critical

    environment, equipment and space.

    Ensure the quality of services performed by both in‐house

    staff and vendors within the assigned facilities.

    Formulate and implement the preventative and predictive

    maintenance program

    Ensure maintenance schedules within the data center are

    conducted to the best industry standards

    Security audits, planning, design, implementation, testing,

    firewall administration, intrusion detection technologies.

    Other duties and responsibilities as required.

    Track and report critical environment operational issues

    with recommendations for improvement

    Capacity reporting on all key resources, ensure all plant

    operates within defined capacity standards

    Produce and maintain a full set of standard and

    emergency operations procedures

    Data Center planning, resource management and

    optimization (space, power and cooling)

    Schedule, plan and supervise routine power down testing,

    data center audits and inspections

    Drive continuous review and improvements across all

    operational processes

    Root cause analysis for incident and failure management

    Data center planning and forecasts

    Identify, Plan and supervise activities for multiple, largescale

    data center facilities projects and develops data

    center infrastructure implementation plans.

    Ensure predictable, consistent, and successful Data Center

    Operations program delivery.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    8+ years in critical data center facilities management

    B.S. in Computer Science or related field.

    7+ years experience of network topology; network

    security; internet, intranet, extranet technologies; and

    operating systems.

    Experience with technical project management.

    Strong analytical and organizational skills, effective written

    and verbal communication skills, and team oriented.

    The ability to supervise Network Operations staff to

    support mission critical systems and networks on a

    (7x24x365) basis.

    Preferred Criterion

    Certifications Cisco ‐ CCNA, CCNP, CCVP, CISSP, CCSE, and

    various other network certifications (e.g., Checkpoint).
