Lead Product Manager, Omnitracs Navigation

Omnitracs, a leading provider of fleet management, logistics, mobility and telematics solutions, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as Lead Product Manager for its truck navigation system.  Applicants should have a strong understanding of GPS-based vehicle navigation systems and mobile applications. Candidates should also have demonstrated competency managing mission-critical, enterprise SaaS products.

The Lead Product Manager will define innovative solutions and approaches that strengthen Omnitracs position as a market leader. The Lead Product Manager has responsibility for managing Omnitracs’ proprietary navigation product as well as partner navigation applications that the company resells. The Lead Product Manager works to develop the strategic product plan, product requirements, and go-to-market strategies.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Lead Product Manager, Navigation owns the Vision, Strategy, Roadmap and Product Backlog.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Own the Product Vision, Strategy, Roadmap, and Product Backlog
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment with strategy
  • Own requirements, specifications, and release plans for assigned products
  • Manage product costs, including third-party, implementation, and support costs
  • Leverage UX design team to create a superior user experience
  • Serve as voice of the customer for assigned scrum teams
  • Prioritize product development and feature enhancements
  • Understand and incorporate customer and market insights into roadmap
  • Deliver business cases to support market expansion decisions
  • Own full product lifecycle from product introduction to end of life

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EDUCATION:  BS/BA in business, engineering, or a related field
  • EXPERIENCE:  5 or more years direct product management experience ​​

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Deep understanding of GPS-based vehicle navigational systems
  • Experience working with geographic information systems
  • Strong product management competency
  • Experience delivering mobile applications for Android and iOS
  • Deep understanding of enterprise SaaS products, preferably including logistics-oriented solutions
  • Business and financial acumen to direct and provide business- and market-oriented guidance
  • Go to expert for features and product
  • Brainstorms constructively with others
  • Leads and structures strategic conversations
  • Drives product strategy
