ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Assist in the maintenance and support of web applications for company’s extranet ADF applications
Work on assigned Change Request tickets that may include bug fixes and enhancements for our ADF applications. Develop program code and scripts necessary to fix assigned change request tickets.
Perform adequate unit testing of developed code and programs and ensure timely delivery of integrated code to our Quality assurance team.
Assist and work closely with our QA team to resolve issues reported during the testing cycle.
Participate in code reviews and peer reviews and incorporate feedback and changes into your code as deemed necessary by senior developers and managers.
Participate and assist in the design of database tables and schema for the application’s data storage and processing needs.
Creates software documentation including needs analysis and specifications; provides comments on code.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
Working knowledge of software development methodologies
Working knowledge of Oracle ADF development methodologies
Knowledge of best practices within various software development life cycle phases
Knowledge of good design concepts
Knowledge of various software development approaches and frameworks such as Waterfall and Agile/Scrum
Skills in object oriented programming languages such as J2EE, PL/SQL
Skills in development and testing of web-based applications and systems
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to complete development tasks with minimal supervision and direction
Ability to research, analyze and problem-solve
Ability to multitask and meet varying deadlines on multiple projects
Ability to work in small to medium size development teams from project definition through implementation
